About Caroline:
I am very lucky to live in a beautiful part of the world – the Dandenong Ranges, east of Melbourne, Australia.
I live here, in a 1930s cottage surrounded by trees and garden, with my husband, my two young daughters, and a fluffy chocolate-brown dog named LuLu.
I love being a mum to my two girls, and I am passionate about writing. Being around my children, when they were very young, gave me an idea for a children’s story. This story, Magic Mummy, was a finalist in the inaugural Kathleen Julia Bates Writing Competition for a picture book (top 10 out of 207 entries). In 2009, Magic Mummy, was published by Black Dog Books. It was an exciting time because it was my first ever published book.
My second picture book, An ABC of Pirates, was published as a hard-cover book, in 2010, by Little Hare Books (a division of Hardie Grant Egmont), in Australia, New Zealand and the UK. A soft-cover version of this book, An A to Z of Pirates, was published locally and in the US, in 2011.
The House of 12 Bunnies, my third book, was released in July 2011 and my fourth book, An A to Z of Fairies, was published later in 2011.
And of course, I am writing other stories all the time. Writing is fun. It is what I love to do.

I belong to two writers’ groups; the Lazy River Writers and the Literary Allsorts. They are both wonderfully supportive groups that help me be a better writer. As part of my ‘apprenticeship’ in writing, I have completed several units of a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing. My University qualifications include a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree in Business.
